I'm not really a "startup founder" by trade — most of my career has been as a video editor and producer for YouTubers and streamers, and these days I also do web design at a local company. Somewhere between computer classes back in middle and high school, I never really stopped wanting to build things instead of just editing them. Ticky came out of watching the creator communities I worked in, over and over: someone asks a simple question, it gets buried, and it just sits there until a mod who's busy (or asleep) eventually gets to it. Nobody was ignoring people on purpose — there just wasn't anything actually working the queue. So I built the thing I kept wishing those servers had.
